Read Across America Week

It's Read Across America Week at my school. We learned new words, and we are reading in reading groups. Every day we are doing something special.

Tomorrow, we can dress up for Cat in the Hat Day by wearing red, white and black. I want my mom to draw whiskers on my face.

I started asking everyone at home if they like to read. Now I want to know if you do. Will you answer my question by voting?

On Friday, I get to dress as my favorite character. I need help because I like so many.

Who should I dress up as?

  1. Em,
Let's see, who should you dress up as? How about Little Red Riding Hood or Martha (the dog or the hippo)? The centipede from James and the Giant Peach or...You know what's neat? You can be anyone you want with a little imagination. I hope you will choose a favorite and let us know with a photo who you chose!

    Have fun this week,

    Mrs. Krebs

P.S. It was a pleasure to meet you and your mom on Skype!

  2. Dear Mrs. Krebs,

It was nice to meet you too.

One of my favorite books is "Go, Dog. Go!." I love all the opposites. My favorite in the book is when he asks, "Do you like my hat?" "I do not like your hat." Then at the end they like the party hat. That makes me laugh.

But right now I'm sad because I lost my book.

Maybe I should dress up as Fancy Nancy.

Thank you for the ideas. Thank you for your comment.

    From,
    Em
