Arizona Festivals

For Student Blogging Challenge #2, I'm going to tell about the festivals in our area. I know of one of them and my friend, Serena, will help write the other two because she has been to them.
(I think) Red Baron & me

1. Japanese Matsuri Festival
We got to see the drums, and there was lots of food. People were dressed up in anime costumes or traditional Japanese clothes.

2. Lost Dutchman Rodeo Days
There are so many people, and horses. There is bronc riding and barrel racing. The food is amazing, and the music is great!

3. Renaissance Festival

The Renaissance Festival shows you what it was like to live in Medieval  times. There are people dressed in costumes and interacting with you. There are people running around interacting with you like you are one of them. They have giant turkey legs too!

If you were visiting us, which festival sounds the most interesting to you?

  1. I would like to go to Lost Dutchman Days. Believe it or not, the whole time we were there, I didn't get to attend! Enjoy the racing!

I didn't realize that you hadn't been to the Dutchman Days! We haven't either which is why Serena wrote that part for Em. -- We also haven't been to the Renaissance, but I'm considering it. ;-)

  2. Hi Em. I really like your blog. If I were to choose a festival to go to I would choose the Renaissance Fair. It sounds really fun. I would like to ask you 5 questions. What grade are you in? What is the name of your school? Is your school big? What amusement park is near you? Is there any interesting animals in your town. Please answer back. (:

    1. Hi Mikayla,

Thank you for your comment. I am happy you like my blog.

      I am in Kindergarten.
I don't think it is safe to share the name of my school.
I think my school is big.
No, we don't have one near us. My mom says we need to go to California to go to one.
We have some interesting animals like quail, road runners, coyotes, gila monsters, and I can't think of any other ones right now.

Do you have interesting animals in your town?

      Em

  11. Hi Em!
This is Mrs. Schmidt from PA visiting again for the Student Blogging challenge. Your blog has some great new posts since I last visited in Oct & Nov. I love the Fotobabble Christmas pictures. I will have to try that website with my students sometime soon.

I think I would like to visit the Renaissance Festival. Those wings look pretty. Do you live close to the Grand Canyon? I would love to visit that one day.

One fun place that is only 5 minutes from my house is Sesame Place. It is an amusement park based on Sesame Street. There are dry rides and wet water park rides. You can take a photo with Elmo, Big Bird and other characters. I think you would like it. Here is a post that one of my students wrote about it http://kidblog.org/MrsSchmidtsClass2011-12/author/Helena41/
And here is a post with a photo of my daughters and my nephews there this summer. http://mrstinaschmidt.edublogs.org/2011/08/01/what-are-you-doing-this-summer/
Keep up the good work on your blog!
