Scoop Dig Scoop Dig -- Fun at the Beach

Scoop scoop. Dig dig. That's what I do with the sand when I go to the beach to look for sand crabs. I go to where the waves crash into the sand then I scoop up wet sand into my hand and wait to see if it tickles. If it does, there's probably sand crabs.

I was at the beach again today with my friends and tried something different. I went closer to the ocean and dug a hole in the sand, then when the ocean waves moved in, I'd dig my hands under the sand and pulled out the sand. I'd slowly move the sand away to see if there's any sand crabs -- and there were lots!

Scoop, dig, scoop, dig -- that's the fun I had today at the beach looking for sand crabs with my friends.

Have you ever caught or seen sand crabs before?

Did they scare you or tickle you?

My Interesting and Favorite Posts

For the Student Blogging Challenge #5, I am preparing for a commenting game that Miss W will have us play in the future. I get to pick the most interesting (or my favorite) posts. I had a hard time naming just four, so I picked six. Here they are:

Tide Pools

I love going to the beach. I love the tide pools because you can find sand dollars in there. I found two whole sand dollars and pieces of others. The ones I kept were already dead, and found an alive one. The alive one is green. When they are dead, they are white or grey. Star fish and snails eat the sand dollars.
Have you ever found sand dollars at the beach?

What do you like to do at the beach?

I wrote this post for the Student Blogging Challenge #2.

I updated the post with a Creative Commons Image from Compfight for Student Blogging Challenge #4.

Cyber Bullying

People should not cyber bully other people. A cyber bully is when someone is mean to someone else on the Internet like on a blog, or anywhere digital. It can even happen on a cell phone because it can send typed messages.

I watched this Online Safety video on BrainPop and learned that if you tell the Internet Service about being cyber bullied they can get kicked off the Internet.

If I get cyber bullied I would tell my teacher, or my mom, or dad, or a trusted grown up so they can stop them and get them in trouble. I would not be mean back to them.

If I see a friend bullied I would tell their mom or dad, or the teacher. I could also tell a police officer if I needed to, and could show the mean message.

I made this Puppet Pals 2 show about bullying:

I wrote this post because of the Student Blogging Challenge.

What would you do if  you or a friend were bullied?

From Seed to Flower

I plant lots of seeds at my Grandma and Grandpa's house. They are farmers and grow lots of plants. I love planting too.

I made this to show you about growing flowers.

I really like this video about a seed too. My mom says I can't put it on my blog because it has a copyright. So you should click on it to watch it.
Did you ever plant a seed?
Did you get to see it grow?
Do you plant with your Grandma or family?

Towers for Fun

This is my castle. It's a tower made out of things in my room. You can use metal, books, cups, wood, trophies, or you can try other materials.

You can make a tall tower, a short tower, a fat tower, a skinny tower, a colorful tower, a plain tower, or any type of tower.

If you make one, take a picture and show it to me.
